About the Designer
I moved to DC from upstate NY in 1995 and opened my own Interior Design business with my daughter Alison, in Georgetown. I had been affiliated with a design firm in NY since 1985. My education in French language and painting in oils and watercolors complements my design background. I have completed projects throughout this country and Mexico.
My philosophy of design is straightforward. Good communication and exceptional resources are hallmarks of my style. The process of creating and shaping comfortable, functional and esthetically pleasing homes should be an enjoyable and satisfying experience for both client and designer. Authenticity and warmth are end goals, reflecting a natural evolution of a room. I am known for an eye for color and the inclusion of antiques, lending history and patina resulting in an updated, gracious and classic feel.
