DC Design House - Before

About the Property

3014 P Street, NW
Washington, DC 20007

The Past

In 1842, William Abbot purchased 3014 P St NW which was a part of the 795 acre “Rock of Dumbarton” tract, one of the oldest in Georgetown. On the property was a one-story brick building which Mr. Abbot used as a school for boys for years thereafter. Over time, ownership of the property changed hands. In circa 1874, a new owner added the second story and the current noble façade facing the street. The dumbwaiter to the basement kitchen was removed when the house was renovated in 1948.

The Present

In 2007, Skip & Debbie Singleton purchased 3014 P St NW with the desire to transform this original historic home, untouched since its last renovation in 1948, into a fully custom masterpiece. On the inside, the home has meticulously been rebuilt by the talented team of Danny Ngo of NDT and Michael Bruner of Architectural Built-ins with today’s highest quality appointments and details, while great care was given to retain the original historic façade and appearance on the outside. The result is a fully custom, luxurious transformation of an historic treasure.
