About Childrens
Children's National Medical Center, a leader in the development of innovative treatments for childhood illness and injury, is known for its world-class care and research. Among the top pediatric hospitals in America, as ranked by both U.S. News & World Report and the prestigious Leapfrog Group, Children's National has served the nation's children since 1871.
Children's National is the largest non-governmental provider of pediatric care in the District of Columbia and treats all patients regardless of their families' ability to pay. In fact, each year Children's provides more than $50 million in uncompensated care.
As a nonprofit hospital, Children's National relies on the generous support of individuals, corporations, and foundations to meet the health needs of children regionally, nationally, and internationally. It will soon launch a campaign called "Transforming Children's Health" to advance care, research, advocacy, and education to improve the lives of children worldwide.

Children's Circle of Care

The Children's Circle of Care was founded by nineteen prominent pediatric hospitals in North America in 1995. Created to honor individual philanthropists and encourage increased giving, the society recognizes the critical role of philanthropists in assuring excellence in pediatric care. Today, twenty-four hospitals participate in the program.
The mission of the Children's Circle of Care is to advance philanthropy through the education and recognition of leading benefactors to member children's hospitals. Annual gifts of $10,000 and more are helping to find solutions to the health problems affecting a most precious resource, our children. Through the commitment of its members, Children's Circle of Care furthers the work of Children's National Medical Center as the top pediatric hospital in the Washington, DC region.
